Level 8 providdes prtoection against five shots from a .30 7.62 NATO at fifteen feet. Levl 9 provides protection against one shot from a .30 cal 30-06 M2AP at fifteen feet. Level 10 provides protection against one shot from a .50 cal FMJ Military Ball at fifteen feet. As you can see from above that the bullets that can be stopped are dependennt on the level of protection that you get. If you are only concerned about civilian handguns, then you might only need to get level six or seven. But if you have more presisng concerns then you miht require level 10. When you do make your purchase be sure to chck to see if the company has bullet resistant fibreglass and bullet proof glass that has been certified to UL752 standards. If it does not meet these requirements then it is not guaranteed to protect you or anyone else in the event of a shooting bullet. If you need protwection you want as many safeguards that you can get.
