Home Mortgage Interest Rates - How Low Can They Go?

You might be old enough to remember when mortgage rates were above 15%. Compared to then, the rates are low. It could be people may look back thinking they should have taken advantage of the deals.
One must be careful when scrutinizing the offered interest rate on any given mortgage. Some lenders may trick you into thinking that the rate is lower rate than it really is. Make sure you aren't getting tricked into something.
Some mortgages are what are called adjustable rate mortgages, or ARM's for short. These loans come with an initial interest rate which then adjusts along with the prevailing market rates. The usually goes up when doing the formula.
Low interest rates are how ARM's start out usually. Many borrowers think they will not have to worry about the rate changing. This is not the case. Fixed rates and ARM's are being interchanged then.
When you have a fixed rate loan your rate doesn't change. Through out the life of the loan the payment stays the same. This allows for effective family budgeting pertaining to your housing expenses.
At the other end of the spectrum are ARM's with extremely low introductory interest rates. These are just "teasers". Teaser loans are harmful, including a foreclosure.
When families can't make their rising mortgage payments they can't keep up with all of their housing expenses. Make sure you have read every part of your mortgage to make sure you know all the terms.
Now is the time to take advantage of the interest rates. A lower interest rate means lower payments for you. Just ensure you do your research and don't get tricked into getting a mortgage with a high interest rate disguised as a low one
