I've only just bought a Kodak HD Pocket Video Camera as I was taking a month long vacation to go to the Canada National Parks and I wanted to upgrade my Video functionality. For photos I use an older Canon 7.1 mega pixels Power Shot A620 digital camera. I love it but it's not that excellent on the video side. I was going to improve the full Digital camera to acquire superior video quality but then I stumbled on the Kodak HD Pocket Camera’s. I am not a technological whiz and to be truthful I don't truly want to learn all the in and out of f-stops and aperture settings. I want a digital camera that is trouble-free as well as easy to operate and gives me fantastic quality pictures. As I said I was seeking to improve the video side of my holiday visits and someone pointed out that I could obtain a pocket high definition video camera. So I started to seek on the Net for HD video cameras. I narrowed it down to 2 the Flip HD Camera and the Kodak HD Pocket Video Camera and to be honest there did not seem to be a lot in it. One appeared to be a little superior in one thing but a little bit worse on something else. What swung it for me with regard to the Kodak was the price! For very modest cash I was receiving a high quality product. Deal done. So I ordered it on the Sunday evening and it was shipped to my door on Tuesday morning. The parcel included the camera, a carry bag, two AA NiMH rechargeable batteries, a battery charger, a USB cable, a composite AV cable and HDMI lead. There is also the various guarantees and a swift start guide consequently I didn't have to wade through oodles of stuff to understand how to use it. There is also a free editing program that you down load from Kodak's web page. I couldn't wait to try out my new Kodak HD Camera, so off I went to the garden to try it out for quality and I was at the crispness and quality of the video and the sharpness of the audio. I also did various indoor takes as well, which were equally as outstanding. The still photos are good quality but for pictures I am going to stick with my trusty Canon. If you are in the market for a high-quality quality Pocket video camera at a terrific price I would endorse the Kodak HD Pocket Camera. Because: *It's trouble-free and simple to use. *It provides you a great quality high definition video and still pictures. *A selection of video modes can be selected. *It's pocket sized so no large camera to lug about. *It's strong and climate resistant so if it gets splashed, rained on or snowed on it doesn't matter. *The film storage is on SD cards consequently you have bottomless video capacity.. *The batteries can either be normal AA or rechargeable. [A charger is included inside the box] *There is an trouble-free edit program for you to create your own shows and upload to youtube if you want *There is both HDMI and standard composite cables in the box so you can watch directly on your Television. *The cost is set to give maximum value. My advice is to get a Kodak HD Pocket Camera. I’ve got some tremendous high definition video of Banff National Park that I can bore my kids and grandkids with.
