Getting into the right mindset should be your first step. If you want to sell your art, you have to be a salesman, not just an artist.

Now it's time to prepare a portfolio. You must have a few good pieces to show. Which pictures will be easier to sell? Put those upfront.

Selling art online: The Internet is an easy way to present your work. You can try to presen your work on eBay. You can create your own website and present your work there. You could also use an online art gallery. If you are willing to pay the fee, you will be saved from the technical work. The internet's pluses are clear: the potential exposure is huge, and the investment is relatively small. The down-side: serious art buyers and dealers are not used to working with the Internet. Many people will see you, but very few of them will buy.

Now, I'm not saying it won't be hard. Be patient. Success will not come overnight, but don't let go. You have what it takes to succeed.
