Long ago article marketing proved itself to be a powerful method for generating targeted traffic to any site. There are a number of article directories and submission sites where you can submit your articles to get them in front of your target audience. If you continue reading you will learn more about how to make your article submissions more effective. The better article directories human review their submissions, and so you want to avoid total gaffs like having links where they should not be. You will absolutely need to adhere to any article directory's Terms of Service (TOS). It is fairly natural to include outbound links so you can provide supporting information, etc. However, it is totally common knowledge that articles are for promoting business, as well, and in many ways this has been abused quite a bit. So if you do not bother reading the TOS, then do not be surprised when your article is not accepted. Avoid getting scammed by responding to advertising selling you articles that are supposed to be unique, but they are already written - not unique! The best thing is never buy them because you will be in for a rude discovery once you pay for them. If you want to buy unique articles then simply hire a freelance writer to do it. If such articles are not advertised as PLR, private label rights, then just walk away from it. Also, outsourcing is not without its little speed bumps because not all article writers are good, so it is common to try a number of times until finding someone you like. You do have several alternatives, such as doing your own writing, but just be very careful about what you do buy online. 3) You should avoid overusing HTML in your articles, even if its use is allowed. It's fine if you want to italicize your text, make it bold or underline it, but in general you shouldn't use HTML tags that are more complicated than this. This helps you format your article the way you want it, so there's nothing wrong with this. Using heavy coding in the article is a strict no-no. You just want the HTML to help you out lay out the bullet points and emphasize on a few important words, or just point to an external link. Anything more than that is not going to help the article in any way and may even get it rejected. Be sure to always follow the rules for article submission to the directories and you will be fine.
